An ad hoc property manager / letting agent is required to help with running of a small portfolio of 32 rooms across 4 houseshares.

Role Responsibilities

  • ‘Dressing’ rooms ahead of viewings
  • Showing rooms to potential tenants
  • Explaining the paperwork process to potential tenants
  • Completing initial tenancy application paperwork with potential tenants
  • Checking tenants in and out of rooms
  • Preparing and checking room inventories on check in / check out
  • Inspecting properties
  • Providing access to rooms for contractors
  • Obtaining quotes for any repairs
  • Other general property management duties

Qualities Required

  • Must be polite, well-mannered, positive, enthusiastic, high energy and upbeat
  • Excellent communication skills both spoken and written
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to use a smartphone (and use of one)

Working Hours

  • This is a flexible role where your work hours will be determined by (1) the workload at the time; and (2) your availability
  • Use of your phone at work will not be permitted
  • This is an ongoing role

Working Location

You’ll be receiving your day’s instructions and collecting the relevant house keys at Yeoman Close, Ipswich IP1 2QE. There is ample free parking on site. One of the houseshares that you’ll be managing is in East Ipswich and the three others are in Colchester. At the end of your cleaning rounds you will return to Ipswich to debrief with your manager and return keys. Travel time is paid and mileage is reimbursed.

Other Requirements

  • You must have a smartphone to be able to view your daily tasks
  • You must have your own transport to be able to travel to the houseshares

Other Information

  • All training will be provided
  • Wages are negotiable depending on experience
  • Use of your own transport is essential – applications without this will be ignored
  • Previous letting experience preferred but not essential
  • Closing date for applications and telephone interviews is 06/08/2018
  • In person interviews will take place from 07/08/2018 onwards
